DECEMBER || LEAF-BARE
Many moons subsequent to the battle against BloodClan, the four Clans of the forest have lived in reasonable harmony. Keeping their paws mostly to themselves the leaders, Firestar, Blackstar, Tallstar, and Leopardstar have strived to maintain the peace, keeping border skirmishes to a minimum and hasty allegations to themselves. With winter rolling in and prey scarce the forest’s residents are required to direct all their concentration on protecting their Clan mates from death and disease by stocking the fresh kill pile and herb supply. However an interest of concern has made its way through the Clans.
Though dead, Tigerstar remains a hot topic among the warrior cats. With talk of ShadowClan’s former leader follows gossip of his son, Brambleclaw. Despite the fact that he’s a warrior of ThunderClan many relate the tom to his father, associating him with carnage and death. They can see the image of Tigerstar in his essence, an irremovable stain that mars his very existence. And they know he will take after his bloodthirsty, power-hungry father, never giving the young tom a chance—only seeing him as the murderous leader. Because no matter how hard he tries and regardless of how many times he proves his loyalty time and again Brambleclaw knows they always will.
And now he has begun to believe it himself.
